Smooth journey

We've made it to Delhi and are safely in the hotel. Both flights were fine if a little heavy going and we got collected by our hotel which was good - the scrum outside the airport for your taxi business is a bit mad! Here's our driver making off with our luggage ...... I mean wheeling off ......

Made it to Manchester in one piece- weather was dreadful on the mway but believe it or not it was lovely and sunny in Shap with a sprinkling of snow on the fells. Really not looking forward to the journey as its long but at least the majority of the flight is overnight. For once we are early so we are grabbing a brew.  Check out the dodgy fur coat of the old lady shuffling towards the airport ...

I won't miss this weather!

It's currently 6.9 degrees C outside and raining heavily, wind speed average 28mph with gusts earlier on of 62mph. Bernard's gone to walk the dog and I'm trying to pack warm weather clothes. It's too cold to do any trying on though.

Assembling all travel documentation ... so much paperwork!

Goodness! I have to find a big file for all the travel documentation, hotel bookings and additional bits like passport photos for visas etc. I have however just read through our train trip from New Delhi down to Ajmer in Rajasthan and it's exciting as it's a lovely train service and only about £15 for First Class waiter service with three meals and the best pot of tea ever.
You can't book this service from the UK so we got our guys over there do to it, and I've gone over the fine print lots of times so I hope that it all goes to plan. The alternative is a 9-hour car journey down the Rajasthani highway, people wandering about with cows and goats across it ... you get the picture.

Starting the socks again ......

Yup, they were just too big. Going to start again with a smaller hook. Hey ho! 

I made a heart!

A friend showed me her indoor illuminated 'heart tree' the other day so I've attempted to make a heart for it. The photo doesn't show the colours as well as I would like, but you get the gist of it.
